Turkish eggs, frozen matcha lemonade, and a few new things for the bank holiday weekend.
Brighton’s hit that point in the year where everyone’s carrying sunglasses and a coat at the same time. Thankfully, this bank holiday weekend looks like we might finally get some proper warm weather so leave that coat at home!
We’ve made a few changes at Black Mocha recently - a seasonal update to the menu, more iced drinks back on the counter, and a bit of a refresh in the café now winter’s disappeared.
The space has had a soft update with sage greens and warmer earthy tones throughout.

On the menu, wild garlic is in season and Turkish Eggs have arrived as a seasonal special with organic poached eggs, garlic yoghurt, fresh wild garlic pesto, nduja oil and toasted sourdough. We’ve also added a seasonal salad to the menu, changing daily with roasted spring vegetables, house pickles, smoked seeds and house dressing.

Our Iced drinks menu is here - iced blueberry matcha, iced chocolates, house lemonade, cold brew and housemade iced teas. Our current favourite is the Frozen Matcha Mint Lemonade. Fresh mint, matcha and lemon syrup - think mock mojito, sharp and refreshing perfect for those sunny days around the corner.

If you’re around over the bank holiday, come by for brunch, an iced drink, or a takeaway coffee before heading to the beach.
Thanks as always for supporting independent places like ours.
